Still don't like the model, but you did a good job on them.  Good alternative colour scheme, and the whitish face mask gives him a bit "automatronic" feel, just like the fluff.  :)

Great paint job! The pale helmet is a great touch.

I don't mind these models - with the exception of the ludicrously oversized weapons. Presumably, they're made of foam! I think the figures would look much better with realistically sized warhammers.

I do like the look of the new models. Especially the Chaos ones. Aren't these guys meant to be like possessed suits of armour or something.

Not read too much of the background yet, looking closely at the art they have eyes behind the armour though

Nicely done!  :-*

I've ordered my box set and can't wait to get them.

I really like the minis.

That's a very valid point, the gold armour paint job does 'confuse'  the eye and obscure quite a bit of detail on the miniatures

I just couldn't face painting all that gold. I am not the best at large metallic areas.

Well I've kinda stuck to the GW tutorials so far, but as I'm starting to experiment more, I'm learning the key to smooth blends is using the Lahmian Medium rather than water for diluting the paint.
This makes the layers easier to work, as the more you brush the Liberator Gold the more shiny and Silvery it seems to get as the Pigment is dispersed.

I'm getting faster with it, but at the moment speed isn't my top priority, I'm just enjoying the look of the finished models as they rank up on the painting table

Hi Omac 247,

I would love to see some of your painted stuff. Can you post some images or share a link.

I really struggle with the metallics so it would be great to see

Thank you

Stevo
