Yesterday I painted up some themed objective markers for my Necromancer war band. Also a test piece for my zombies.

Those are great ... might have to do something like that myself now I have seen those.
Do you have an 'in game' plan for the tokens or are they themed treasure tokens.

Where are your cobblestone bases from .... or did you green stuff those yourself?

I plan to make a scenario for when a wizard type is faced off against its opposed wizard school. One player being the attacker and the other trying to claim the objectives. In each case id make objective tokens based on each magic school. In this case, the Necromancer must gain these objectives and cast raise the dead spell on them (raising a random undead from the bestiary not just a zombie), the opponent in this scenario would be thaumaturge and they'd be looking to destroy the markers before the dead can be raised. Thaumaturge would gain experience for destroying each objective before it could become an undead model and the Necromancer gets to have extra forces at his command to attempt to wipe out the attacker. Haven't thought too much about other markers for the different schools yet but they'd come with similar benefits to the wizard's warband. It's all work in progress and I've still to play a game yet to work out the mechanics. In truth I just wanted some cool objectives lol

The cobble bases are from Fenris Games, these are toppers meant for display type bases but I've used them on their own.

Another barrow finished. A set of ruins should be finished tonight with more being built this evening. I don't think I've ever had a project where I've been so productive. Admittedly I've had the miniatures collecting dust for years now.

Before snow.

After snowification.

Great painting, brilliant basing and top notch scenery to boot.

A project to certainly keep an eye on, Mr Bukkit!
Keep it up.

Looks gorgeous :)
What are you using for snow? I am considering snow'ifying my own terrain collection as well.

On the terrain and markers I used a good quality pva glue and bicarbonate of soda. It may turn yellow in a few years as I had happen on some minis but I used a cheap pva on them. If it does I'll just peel it off and replace it. On my miniatures recently painted I've used GW snow flock just as a light dusting of snow.

Great painting, brilliant basing and top notch scenery to boot.

Cheers  :) I've lots more things in progress for this which I'll reveal when they're finished over the next week or so.

Allright. Thanks. :)

I tried soda when basing my warmachine army some time ago, and it did indeed change colours after a bit, but it might help just varnishing it? I have some in the kitchen drawer, so I'll give it a try.

To prevent my snow going a different colour, when mixing I add a small bit of white paint to the mixture, I was told to do this by a few people over the years but only got around to doing it about a year ago. No colour change but not the true test of time just yet... :)

As everyone else has said, some great miniatures and I am enjoying popping in on this every so often. I am also looking into Frostgrave myself :D

Another piece of terrain finished. Still haven't tried adding white paint to the snow as I tend to scatter the baking powder on top of glue as you would flock.
