Gutbukkit's Frostgrave project - Let it go!
« on: 10 July 2015, 08:32:45 PM »
After reading more and more recently about Frostgrave (and subsequently wishing I'd got in on the Nickstarter), I decided to start my own project. It will kind of be set in Skyrim from the Elder Scrolls universe which I've always meant to do for years now. Frostgrave has given me that kick to restart that long forgotten project.

To start off, I've painted up some skeletons for random encounters. Trying to paint up stuff I actually have before buying the wizards and apprentices I'll need to play.

Thanks folks. They are indeed from Otherworld Miniatures. I need to add the armoured versions to my collection at some point.

Those really are lovely skellies. Great paint jobs make them look suitably scary.

Cheers chaps. Next on the list are more encounters ghouls, zombies and wraiths. I've been digging out long lost miniatures and sticking together stuff for my Necromancer led warband.

The first member of my Frostgrave warband, a Necromancer leader. Another awesome Paul Muller sculpt that begged for the addition of undead rising from the ground. Skeletons are Mantic plastics. Ghouls and zombie encounters next and then the draugr members of the warband.

Really nice painting on that figure. The base is nice and in keeping too.  :)

Look forward to seeing what you come up with next.
Ray.

Cheers gents.

Not much of an update here.

Repurposing my barrow for Frostgrave. I figured on the outskirts of the city would be remnants of an older civilisation. As it's also further from the centre of the magic that engulfed the city in frost, ice and snow, it would also be the first place to thaw (hence less snow). Another reason I went with less snow was I couldn't bring myself to completely cover it  lol Another barrow is nearly finished and I'm playing with various ways to make ruins.
