Big thanks for sharing, nice one indeed.  :o

The only thing that makes me sad is the fact that as soon as something good from Ep VII shows someone must say how bad Ep I to III was... :(
Please be gentle, some -like me - liked them a lot! ;)

You're right. The first time I saw them, they were ... Substandard. I own them now, and I like them. They were good background. It makes sense. I like the story.

The new clip I think nails it: organic and real! The special effects that aren't computer generated are so much better. I love the old school approach. It's real cinema magic. 😇

Getting all giddy over this.

Also, I've got a mate working on Episode eight at the moment, it was a very close thing that I went with him...

Glad I didn't but kind of wishing I did  lol

Do tell Jim - a real job offer that you declined?!?!?!

My mate got the job offer but I could've gone with him as they were looking for several modelmakers with experience (he was the point of contact)but I have loyalty to the company I work for now (since the old bastard retired) and I wouldn't ant to give that loyalty up  :)

He's not sent us any photos though  :-[ lol

Wow - so you can tell the grand kids "I almost worked on The Force Awakens"! That's close enough for me.

I get it that some things about J.J. Abrams' style as a director can grate on peoples nerves <cough> lens flares <cough>, but from what I've read, he does not care for CGI, and prefers a physical model or set whenever it's practical to do so.

This trailer reminds me of when I was a kid going down to the local video rental shop and getting the making of the Empire Strikes Back out several times. Me and my brother used to sit there for hours watching over and over again..

I couldn't agree more Agis. I'm as excited as everyone about the new movies, and I'm happy to see the return to old school film making skills, but I enjoy the prequels a lot too. I like the originals more, but it's all Star Wars to me. (Hell, I even like the Christmas Special.) There's plenty of room in the galaxy far, far away for many visions of Star Wars.
