Some Pig Iron Infantry
« on: October 24, 2008, 05:55:51 AM »
I tried my hand at some Pig Iron Productions Infantry... Actually these sculpts were what tempted me to try painting minis again after many years. I did a couple of other projects before these to try to get some practice, but I was never a patient painter.... ::) Your advice and feedback is welcomed.

Spiff.  I like that I can see them from different angles.  I've been tempted to use them for Sword Worlders for my Traveller game that is far far out from being done.

Nice paint scheme, well executed.

Might want to try umber on your weapons, it's a bit subdued but gives a nice texture in combination with black.

I also like the Pig Iron minis.  They make excellent troopers.

Thanks for the advice Ray. I'm a little bit uncertain however... Do you mean raw or burnt umber and I assuming you mean a transparent wash. I ask because I'm eager to work on the weapons.
The group is a work in progress, you may have noticed I have two variants of visors as well as of guns in the picture, and I'm open to feedback as to what looks better.

Mars. My buddy and I are working on a campaign setting with a Martian theme. The Ketchup & Mustard camo is my wacky idea of Mars camouflage.

An original look for the body armour/suits, I like it.  :)
They are very versatile figures, I painted a bunch in dark blue suits and black armour with green visors. They work as a futuristic SWAT team.
