Whilst I've previously posted quite a few photos of the massive diorama of the WW1 battle of Chunuk Bair, the *very* best shots have been saved until last!

http://anzacdiorama.blogspot.co.nz/2015/07/the-very-best-pics-of-massive-chunuk.html

We had agreed to withhold these photos until after 'Wargames Illustrated' published a photo-article about this project. Now that this article is in their August issue, we can at last show you these amazing shots taken by Andy Palmer.

Here's a few sample pics.  But do go to the blog to see more photos and to read the informative captions:

  • Ahhh, Crap.
I just finished reading the article in WI but I cant get enough. The Perry's, Peter Jackson and all the painters have outdone themselves!

I'm glad you guys enjoyed the 'Wargames Illustrated' article. It was hard to convey just how amazing it was to be part of the team working on this diorama.

Even though this project wasn't a 'wargame' as such, and even though it used figures that I wouldn't consider 'wargames figures', it was the absolute high-point of my many decades in the wargaming hobby. I'm still finding it hard to settle back into any 'normal' wargaming project again.

Absolutely outstanding work both in concept and execution...the final shot that gives an idea of the sheer scale of the action and is as near to a photograph and as valid as any documentary in bringing across just what these men endured"...a fine and worthy tribute....praise and thanks to all involved
