My Medievals'
« on: 13 August 2015, 11:47:57 AM »
I've started painting up a bunch of medieval Germans using the Fireforge kits.
They don't really represent anything in particular as the guys at my club are looking more at an Imagi-nations type of thing. So this is the start of my army called the Hemmingsaetic League (named after me).

They are based here for Hail Caesar but whilst we're getting our masses painted up I can also use the ones that are based singly for Lion Rampant (played 2 games so far for 1 loss/1 win). Also considering looking into SAGA Crescent & Cross.

By the Way: All the units now have flags. ;)

I like the positioning of these very much- avoiding the 'too dynamic' look Fireforge troops sometimes have.

Thanks fo the positive replies folks. With my first move into medieval wargaming (not including fantasy) I'm finding these figures are great to paint. After many years of Napoleonics' the freedom to paint them as I want makes them easy and enjoyable.

Being an imagi-nations project based on the concept of the Hanseatic League, it gives me plenty of freedom to paint up units from a variety of (pretend) city states.

Again, thanks for your kind comments, folks.
