Another Frostgrave Terrain Project
« on: August 20, 2015, 08:47:47 PM »
Hi, I'm new to the Forum and wanted to introduce my first experiments with Frostgrave: my Summoner and his companions.
I thought for the thugs the North would be very cold, therefore they've got an extra layer fur to warm them. The miniatures are from the Frostgraves range with parts from Gripping Beast and green stuff.

Nice conversions they look great. You've really captured the Arabic look for these guys while at the same time making them look ready for the frozen city.thanks for sharing

The necromancer's band looks great as well.just the type of rough sorts who would hire themselves out to a wizard of the dark arts

Nicely done. You've tied the theme of each of the bands together well.

Agree the poor sods from warmer climes would freeze there bollocks off without some extra layers!!  :o

Nice. I do like a tight 'theme' in a warband. :D

I'm  just thinking about my visualization of Frostgrave. The first question to me is: how looked Felstad like? I remember Glantri City from the old D&D module, but it seems to extravagant to me. The magical towns I like most are Imrryr, the capital of Melniboné, and the city of Cymril in the Seven Kingdoms from the Talislanta RPG. Both have something in common: lot's of towers. I tend more to Imrryr, because of the sinister aspect of Melniboné (can't imagine a whole town disappears in a magical blizzard because of one lunatic sorcerer - maybe there was more chaotic sorcery in the city and the faults of one Wizard only the catalyst to initiate the cataclysm ...), but I didn't find an image of Imrryr in the net, which I find helpful as a reference for my terrain.

Here my first attempt in terrain for Frostgrave. The buildings started their live as Elven Terrain for my LOTR-Tabletop. Any comments welcome!

Great terrain.  :D

Much what I'm doing with mine, much less ruined as uncovered. Obviously the weight of all that snow and ice has had some effect, but not every building will be a shell.
