Pics from a recent Song of Blades and Heroes game
« on: 30 August 2015, 09:23:05 PM »
Chuck Couch, Ryan Flessing and I played a game of SBH yesterday.  It has been a while since we last played, but is a great pick up game with little preparation. We would have liked to have a 4th player.

Chuck, playing barbarians and I, Aenglish, beat up on each other until we finally noticed Ryan's Slavers crossing the river and we decided to parley a truce and band together against the slavers. It was a very close game with the Barbarians and the Aenglish down to one model each against the two remaining slavers. The last man standing was the Aenglish bowman.

We plan on playing more games in the future and be more prepared and in reading the rules again before we play.

I am in love with your river terrain. The sworling hilights of the currents capture my favorite aspects of fantasy illustrations of water. Are they custom built or something I can buy somewhere?

Almost as enchanting is your use of carpet as your terrain base. It fits with your terrain but also references the hours of playing with little figures on the floor as a child.

A most poetic and beautiful table.

Thanks.

The river section is Ryan's and it is from Armorcast.com.

SBH is a pretty good game.

Thats looking very nice and a fun game as well. I always enjoy seeing your painted miniatures and it's good to see you putting them in action as well.
Why aim for gold if you can get lead?

Great miniatures and great terrain. I haven't played SBH for some years, but have picked it up again for some 15mm Conan action. A short and sweet system, which is just what I need these days.
