Thanks for the comments.
The Pegasus ruins are made up of one box of the "cathedral small set" and two boxed of the ruin. Cost about $100, not cheap, but bearable. My justification is that it will be used for Necromunda, and for breaking up line of sight in Bolt Action. Yeah!
The 'Lord of the Rings Terrain' is, in fact Balin's tomb. Well Spotted.
The grass is green teddy bear fur, glued to a linoleum tile and savaged with a pair of nail scissors. If ever you need to work up a blister, this is the quickest way. I bought the teddy bear fur in Sydney just before Mardi Gras, so no questions were asked.
I was hoping to stay away from the 'stuff scattered on the table' look I get when I base terrain. The idea is the grass/fur sort of binds everything together, to make a believable ruined city. It is also light, transportable and impossible to destroy. The linoleum comes in 1 foot squares, which also makes the table quick to set up.
I just saw the guy posting the white city terrain and I could weep with envy.
