How do you use them in a game do you have them as the flying version of the standing ones?

Yes. B.E.R.T.  flies in/out of scenarios as I see it, not during scenarios; there they are on foot.
Don't worry about asking stupid questions. As my Dad used to say, "There's no point in being stupid unless you show it!"
