2/8e Regiment de Ligne - Talavera
« on: 05 September 2015, 10:11:33 AM »
The completion of the 2/8e Ligne means the reaching of a principle landmark having now completed 33% of the required French line battalions in Victor's I Corps at Talavera.

The regiment was involved in the Peninsular War right from the start as French troops began to infiltrate into Spain in January 1808 under the guise of the Treaty of Fontainebleau.

Good read as usual - and another quality unit - not sure how you do it :)
I struggled to achieve anything with just two general figures this weekend.

Hi gustav, thank you. Well we just played the second play test of the Dawn Attack scenario this weekend and the number of figures being used just helps to keep the focus on what it will look like with the whole thing finished.

I have always wanted to do this battle with proper battalion sized units and I reckon you just have to get on with it while you can still see the figures to paint them!
