Were the cards only £7.50 for the early bird time? I see they are now £10.

That's right. Early bird bonus I assume.

Any pics of the Cultists frame and bits?

From Northstar FB page:

It's only a test frame, so there's a piece not on, and the photos off my telephone, but here's the Cultist Frame!
Top row: left arms, equipment and weapons.
Next row: equipment, weapons, equipment and left hands to swop aboout on the left arm.
Next Row: Undead options
Last row: 12 heads, 5 bodies.

I'm going to jump into this at Level 5 hopefully next Wednesday, here's hoping Shipping charges don't push the price out of my available funds range!

The soldiers box definitely had more bits/options. Two bow & crossbows, shields, adventure gear. Compared the two sprue images side by side.

Looks great, thanks for sharing the pic.

I think the decision to put the undead options in there will have left less room for more variety in weapons and spare equipment Bloodaxe. I think there's still enough variety there to make this a fantastic kit to make evil henchmen, cultists and undead.
But mixing parts between the two kits will give even more variety and lead to some really interesting and unique bands.
I can imagine a warband of rough looking thugs alongside more civilised men at arms looking really good, showing how a wizard had to lower his standards to bulk out his ranks when his funds started running low.

Tyrionhalfman got it right. We made a choice not to add as many weapon options. You have what you need to build a warband, but because we designed the Cultists to mix and match with the Soldiers, you have all those weapon arms to use as well (I suspect there's a lot of spare arms around). We also chose not to repeat backpacks and ropes etc, but gave you Cultist accoutrements instead.

The frame is only the test frame, it doesn't show the buckler shield. There are a number of 'left hands' so you can cut the ones off the arms to give you more variety, which is different to the Soldier box set.

Probably a stupid question, but I backed during the Early Bird phase with a few to add some bits later this month (when I get paid) - will I pay the EB price or the higher price?

Instead of adventuring gear, some potion bottles, books, bells, bones, skulls or other weird cult gear would have been good. I get what you are saying though. Still looks like a nice set.

A plastic wizard set would have been great. Lots of staffs , wands, heads, books, bits with two robed bodies. Something like the GW Empire plastic wizard kit.

I swear some of those arms are identical to KoW elves frames.

True, but first you have to realize that making a plastic sprue is expensive,it has to be a guaranteed seller, consider frostgrave players, many have already bought the metal wizards and thus don't need more, secondly those same minis would then sell less as people ignore them for the hypothetical plastic kit.

Yeah although great for adding variety they probably wouldn't sell the volume they can of warrior type sprues as you might need 10-20 of those minis where as with wizards you only want 2 for Frostgrave and probably 1 in other cases.

As mentioned before, some gun arms would be awesome for those cultists. Modern and future firearms. It would expand their usefulness & sales.
