Wise investments.  8)

You are going to have a very classy looking Frostgrave table. Based on all the other stuff you have posted, I'm pretty sure you have gathered enough kit to do the job.

Television is rather a frightening business. But I get all the relaxation I want from my collection of model soldiers. P. Cushing

There is some stuff to pick up at the Crisis but that's more meant for the 28mm Mordheim Graveyard project (different budget, got 30 euros left, might do a Renedra order for gravestones) that I started collecting bits for during the summer. But seeing Frostgrave has a crypt and wraith scenarios it would be apt to paint those up too. Not to mention I'm running a Necromancer so it would be thematic to have one.

Seeing as I have all of the figures and a basic set of scenery sorted my Crisis bill (already at 250 for the pre orders and the on site handing over of used items with fellow forum members) is kept well in check ....as it should cause it usually eats up my hobby budget all the way till april of next year.

I would not mind a ruined temple or church though, or a gazebo. Everyone needs a gazebo :)

Got to start somewhere. Stripped, torn apart and reglued properly, mould lines removed, based and ready for black basecoat.

I picked up a copy of the Darkworld game, complete with the scenery (the sole reason for buying it), at the local fleabay for 17,50 euros so that emptied my scenery budget for this year in one go. Now to clean, update, basecoat and paint stuff.

While primarily aimed at the 28mm Graveyard project, they will get used for Frostgrave too. So, my Crisis buys:

Those are quite nice pick-ups. I was amazed at the popularity of frostgrave at crisis, seemed like it was everywhere. I just picked up a few members for my warband. :)

Seems to be a very healthy budget - certainly such terrain pieces will have an endless supply of possibilities even when the frost is in the grave.

The large resin mausoleum is indeed from Ainsty, the crypts in the other picture are from Thomarillion

I picked up 2 of these bases (Playmobil Inka Temple Baseplate) at the local Fleabay for 2,50 euro each. Some filling of holes, some water effects for the pool and some randomly placed statues plus paint and that should do nicely I think. Also useful for Pulp in the jungle.

Last week, I was lucky to find a copy of Darkworld on the local Fleabay. It arrived in the weekend, but only had time to unpack it this afternoon. I know it fits Frostgrave, I just had not seen a bare one yet.

Looks nice right? It does need work though, a base, filler, and....

....something to cover the huge hole in the back!

Very cool...or...alternately - mount that on the table's edge and convert it into a dice roller? (ie. a nice felt slide/box underneath with a trap door up top for rolling dice?)

Good call on the Playmobil base pieces too, and I think you can order them separate from their catalogue.

Now there's a thought. I'd fear it is too shallow though to be suitable as a dice tower.

Well, 2 coats of varnish later and everything looks dandy, no white spots or any other disasters. Jay!

So I present to you:

Base with coins. That's it, just coins.
(20mm round base with "coins" made with punch die and plastic card)

The locket of letxoB. Supposedly grants magical powers. Maybe just looks good. Not made in Taiwan at all.
(20mm base, Kromlech jewel and piece of solder. Red is just basecoat of red, Tamiya clear red and another coat of gloss. Life is too short to jewel little pieces)

The statue of Gee Dubajoe. Does funky stuff with your money.
(20mm base, building bit from one of GW's building kits for 40K)

Troll feces. Yup, a turd.

"Now listen here youngster, back in our days of raiding dungeons, Troll feces was worth good money. If it was fresh enough, wizards would pay for it. Not quite fresh enough, it could be talen apart for the occasional coin of ring. Trolls ain't picky eaters, you see. And if it was really old, you could use it to mark something. Problem is though, if there is troll poop around, the troll usually isn't far away....."

(20mm base, horn bit from the old skeleton sprue)
