Introductions first maybe? I've been wargaming for most of my life, currently my main game is Warmachine/Hordes. Frostgrave caught my eye in the midst of a bout of Warhammer nostalgia in the summer when I saw the fallout around Age of Sigmar. I decided to get some stuff and see if I could get my girlfriend to play. This is an old project of mine, because while she is a geek who loves boardgames and geeky toys, wargaming has not held any appeal to her. She has at least grudgingly agreed to try the game and I'm hoping to play the first one today.
On to the topic of the thread then. There were two ideas I that came to me when I was planning out purchases; a mostly female warband lead by some familiar characters from a certain series of books, and a non-standard, non-european fantasy kingdom inspired by the official Witch model. Most of the following minis are kitbashed from various sources: Mantic Sisterhood, Warlord Zulus, Perry men-at-arms and Frostgrave soldiers. The metals are a mix of Reaper, Bombshell, Frostgrave and Micro Art studios.
What do you think of my vision of Frostgrave then?
First, the small and backwards Kingdom of Lancre expedition:

And second, the expedition to reclaim the old capital of the Kingdom of M'zu
