Thanks Ged. Now all I have to do is turn it into the range I had originally envisaged for Mike, having long ago persuaded him to venture into Egypt. So I hope to be adding some more Oriental splendour, the French cavalry and, in the due course of time, some Brits.

I've been playing with some terrain I acquired at Colours, and have reunited all the stands of the 25th demi-brigade that I either painted for display for Mike or myself. Mike never had room in the case for the full unit (and I have chopped off the ends for the picture too, because the unit is wider than my oasis!). The 25th had crimson coats that faded in the strong sun to violet, and accordingly I used a crimson base before hitting the purple shades. The unit has been reflagged to an appropriate Army of Italy/Egypt style and my designer is working on a full set of flags for the campaign - there are only a few flags in my current range.
