Newby rules question
« on: October 29, 2015, 11:21:54 AM »
Hello all,
I may be reading this wrong but in the factions lists in 2nd edition it looks like the human cultist  can only be armed with 0.5 ep of weapons? That means no rifles, shotguns, tommyguns? Even though the cultist models pictured in the rules are carrying these weapons? I'm a little confused. Thanks in advance for any replies, Hussar70

Welcome to the Forum.

The cultist gets a 0.5 EP cost weapon for free as part of his 1 BP cost.  You can then add a weapon to that cultist paying its EP cost as part of your Lurker force cost.

Example:
Cultist (1BP) with a knife (free 0.5 EP) and Shotgun (2 EP) would cost 3 BPs (build points) of your Lurker force cost.

Yep, Uncle Mike confirmed this in a post earlier this month.  The phrasing in the rules is consistant (and a bit odd to me), but once you figure out what it means you realize that many creatures have a free weapon of 0.5pts *and* can buy more from a certain particular list.

Uh...wow. I was under the same impression as the OP after reading the rules. Much happier now!
