I figure that Pol is screaming for one of two reasons. Either he's celebrating his triumph over the trap or this pose is Pol a fraction of a second after he realized that he's triggered the trap and he's about to have a really bad day.

I know which interpretation I prefer  ;)

Both are some nice conversions. Looking forward to seeing them with paint on.

I really like the painting style you have. Wonderful.

My cobblestone textured sheets of styrene showed up in the mail today. The sheets are a bit more flexible than I wanted, but they should work well enough..

Thanks for the kind words, everyone.

Frostgrave came and went pretty quickly at my FNGS, but time has passed and supplements have been added, so I think there's a good chance of resurrecting it.

We are currently in the midst of a short Mordheim campaign.  Once the campaign ends, I think I can use it as a springboard for a Frostgrave campaign or at least making a few new converts.  Adapting a Mordheim warband to Frostgrave warband shouldn't be too hard, so long as one is pretty liberal with the counts-as rules.

Below are some models that I'm working on for my Mordheim warband, two of which can be used in Frostgrave as well. The Averlander Captain (far left) is a converted standard bearer from FW's Manann's Blades Command kit.  In Frostheim, he'll make a good, unarmored or lightly armored Captain model.  His big pistol will be a counts-as crossbow.

The Road Warden is the Mordheim Reiklander Captain (foot & mounted).  I own the actual Road Warden models, but they are kinda boring. Plus, I've waited a long time for an excuse to paint the Reiklander Captain, who's an ugly fella, but has lots of character.  The Roadwarden infantry model can be used as a Frostheim Marksman.

Mounted miniatures are rarely sculpted holding reins, which has always kind of bugged me, so I made some using greenstuff.

Wow, love the reins, great pose. how did you made them? It's plain greenstuff? I'm totally unable to work with gs with so little support.
Also, nice painting, of course.

Wow, love the reins, great pose. how did you made them? It's plain greenstuff? I'm totally unable to work with gs with so little support.

When I'm finished working with GS I typically have a bit left over.  Rather than toss it, I roll it into a ball or a dowel, of varying sizes, and set it aside to cure. I use the cured GS shapes to serve as the foundation of other sculpting projects.

In this instance I started with a very thin dowel/snake of GS. I used a new xacto blade to slice down the length of the GS dowel/snake, flattening one side and then the opposite. The end result is a ribbon of GS, from which I cut the lengths of GS that I used as reins.

I made the reins bend by drilling a hole through the model's hand. I stuck an end of the GS ribbon into the hole and glued it in place. This let me compress the GS slightly, creating the bend. Once I figured out how much bend I wanted and the length needed to reach the horse's neck, I trimmed the GS ribbon and glued the loose end of the reins to the side of the horse's neck. Voila!

More new additions to my Mordheim/Frostheim warband(s).

I need all three of these my models for this week's campaign games, so over the long holiday weekend I painted em' up. I knocked them out pretty quick (for me), so they are pretty basic.

The Bergjaegers' heads are Lykan Tribal heads made by Mad Robot Miniatures.  Just a heads up.  Before you order the heads you should know that they are a tad big for Games Workshop heroic scaled models, so they are going to be far too big for Frostgrave plastics.

Bergjaeger (counts-as crossbowman), Bergjaeger (counts-as ranger), and Mountainguard (counts-as infantryman)

Here's a couple of models that I'm working on. Both would make pretty good Captains.

My Frostheim table is coming along nicely, but I still need more buildings.  I have at least two of each of the ruined building kits that 4Ground makes, so to add a bit more variety to my board, I've purchased some of 4Ground's intact Mordanburg buildings.

I created the discolored roof tiles and charred edges with a lighter -easy peasy.
