Thanks.

GS shield emblems aren't too challenging.  You just roll the GS out on the shield fairly thin and start carving.

If you pick a simple design, like a tower, it's all right angles, so the toughest part is centering the motif on the shield.  Even that can be fixed fairly simply by letting the GS cure and then carefully cutting it off and gluing back on in the right position.

Thanks. The model is Scibor Miniatures' Knight Jurand.  I bought it months ago at 50% off from an online retailer. When I bought it I didn't have any specific plans for it, but the price was good and the model awesome, so I couldn't pass it up.

Scibor's minis are on the large side, and Knight Jurand is no exception. He makes GW scaled minis look a bit weedy and he dwarfs the Frostgrave/Ral Partha scaled 28mm minis.

One of the best figures Scibor has ever done.

I added 5 more 4Ground buildings to my 4' x 4' Frostgrave/Mordheim board. I want the terrain to be a bit denser and I want to phase out some of the stone ruins, so it looks like I need to place another 4Ground order.

Since, for the most part, I'm not placing buildings on the roads, I also need to add more road debris.

That table is beautiful.  The "shapes" are convincing but the colour in that bird's eye  is what gets me;  It's like the building have warmth and it is bleeding into the cooler board.  The knight is a real character and the shield is impressive.

Wow!! That looks awesome for a table, for both Mordheim and Frostgrave. Well done man.

This model turned out ok. Painting plate armor has always been a challenge for me, and this model's armor is no exception.  The only part that I really like is the model's head.

I'm still on the fence as to whether or not to use this model as my Averlander Captain. Without any yellow and black, he doesn't really fit in with the other models in the Averland warband.  However, the model would make a pretty good captain for one of my other Frostgrave warbands.

Last Tuesday my local gaming club held their annual 'Dirty Santa' gift exchange. I ended up with a 4Ground High Medieval Cottage.  It doesn't quite fit in with my fantasy urban ruins table, but it will be a nice addition to my rural and wilderness tables.

I could move some of my scenarios outside the walls of Frostgrave and into barbarian territory.  I have 3 smaller 4Ground cottages that I use for SAGA.  Together, these cottages can serve the homestead of a wealthy barbarian thegn, Ulf the Unlucky.  In recent months Ulf had seemingly defied his moniker by leading a number of successful expeditions into the frozen city, but unbeknownst to Ulf, news of the thegn's growing hoard has reached the ears of not one, but two warbands.  And, as luck would have it, Ulf and most of his huscarl are away when the two rival warbands arrive to raid the hapless thegn's hall.

Here's a peek at the second floor and part of the ground floor.  The partial second floor and connecting eaves can be removed for better access to the ground floor.

Nice board and love the minis!  :)  About how much does each 4ground piece cost you on average?

This armor looks perfect!  How did you paint it like that?  I have a mini I want to paint and have its armor look different than the typical lighter versions.   It's awesome! :)

I love 4Ground's products, but they are a bit expensive.

The value of the pound is at a three decade low against the dollar, so if you live in the US, now is the time to buy.  Orders of 70 pounds or more ship free to the US.

Below is a link to 4Ground's City of Mordanburg products.
