Love the mounted and the last guy. They are very well painted and have loads of character.

As sculpts I've never been a fan of these; the big heads and big hands. Though that's not really a criticism of the technique of the sculptor, more of the stylistic choice (which seems to have been in fashion back when these were released) as the execution of detail is very well done, the mounted figure is a particularly fine piece of work. As the Cid says, they have lots of character.
The painting is just right for these figures, not too fussy, and clearly brings out the detail of the sculpts. The face on the last guy is great.

There are variations in the sculpts. I bought the originals 30 years ago but, even then, some were less idiosyncratic than others. The more recent figures are better.

I remember those 15s, weren't they originally put out by a firm called Two Dragons or something? Excellent work

Very nice painting, I for one still love this range. Proper toy soldiers oozing with charm and of course these days buckets of nostalgia.

The Two Dragons fifteens are still great too.

They started out as Dixons 'way back when'... Two Dragons bought them a few years later. I still remember browsing the range in the shop that used to be next to Kings Cross Station.
