Sir Thos. Fondling's Regt. of Foote
« on: 24 November 2008, 12:36:36 PM »
I have four more 20 man regiments I'm working to complete. This is the first of them - Fondling's Foote (to go with Fondling's Horse, shown previously!)

All these infantry were painted by Baner, based and finished by me. I've repainted the pink coats and trim to get a slightly better colour match with Fondling's Horse.

Three more regiments to come...  ;)

Beautiful figures! And nicely done on the reds and whites (nice reds and whites are always a joy.)

Beautiful work! I really need to revive my ECW forces since TFL's "In the Buff" is in the pipeline.

Beautiful as always, Captain, me ol' china!

I consider it a privilege to have been allowed to play with your toys. As Aragonor says, that bridge has made a lasting impression.

I'm normally not a great fan of pink, but you've done a fantastic job with these chaps, Cap'n! Just the right shade to work for uniforms.

Can't wait to spend all the money I don't have on those forthcoming plastic ECW.  :D

About time we saw them here. They look fabulous as always. I don't know anyone else who can make pink cool.

Aaah. Thank you chaps. I know ECW isn't quite a mainstream interest here on LAF, but it's nice to get your positive feedback  :)

Now wehere;s the rest?

Be careful what you wish for... I've got three more foot regiments to photograph... More soon.

Then I just have a dozen or so artillerymen to paint, and about another 30 cavalry (sob).

Then I'll be able to move on... Phew. Apart from the lead painters league, I've been doing pretty much nothing but ECW for 18 months now, and I must confess, I'm getting a bit bored of it. But I'm determined to finish! It will be quite a collection once complete...

ECW has always been one of my favourite periods. I have three great heroes from history King John, Richard III and Cromwell (with Sir Thomas Fairfax not far behind). Hopefully with the release of the Warlord Games figures and Blackpowder rules we might see the period take off.
