Thanks guys!

@Hobgoblin: nice! I'm going to try it for sure...

@Hupp: when I started the project I had some spare renedra 25x1,5mm round bases...I find those are perfect for SAGA. Someone uses 20mm and it's good too. I prefer 25mm because there are no problem when you need to form ranks. For cavalry I used the 25x50x1,5mm lozenge bases (in plastic) bought in that ebay shop.

@Gandalf: you are welcome pal! Thanks for sharing. I missed your thread: link pls?  :D
I really like both Gregor and the Hound! Very nice idea to use the Agincourt kit. Thanks for the instructions! Unfortunately, I need the Mountain on horse too. I'm using the Capetingian SAGA rules and the warlord must be mounted. It seems harder to use that kit with it... Have you planned a mounted version too?

***

Not a big update, but today I was inspired and so I decided to start the levies bowmen unit. It's a big challenge for me. It can be a boring task to build 12 archers... So, to find the enthusiasm, I started with a sort of a captain who command the unit:

The plan worked and I built 5 archers too..

6 models more......

You can do it! Six more is nothing at all.  :D
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

LorOdo & Faber: My thread is here: http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=55740.0

I don't update very often, because the last few years I've painted maybe 50 miniatures in total.

I'm not planning on making a mounted version of Gregor, as I don't know how I would do that, at all. Ive seen a quite simple one that is basically just a GW Bretonnian Knight. Compared to historical minis, those knights are pretty big.

Nice model :)
I think that legs braced, four-square stance is my favourite pose from the WoTR Foot Knights set.

I think many of us modelling these Perry figures, for GoT, WoTR, HYW, or whatever, suffer from the same difficulty... Building and painting lots of archers / billmen / spearmen is boring but necessary! So much more fun making endless characters :)

@captain: ditto! This body is one of my favorite too. Love that kit!
BTW, I enjoyed so much to kitbash various kits to create the Clegane warriors...building those archers wasn't definitely that fun (commander excluded  :D) ... In a army/large warband project there is a part of the job that you do just too see the finished product... I'm trying to enjoy this part too, but it has always been a big problem for me. This warband is actually representing the biggest number of models ever painted by me for a single project. Kinda scary :) Hope to stay focused!

@commissar: you were right pal!  :D

This morning I saw your reply and I said to myself: "six more are nothing at all!" And "after them no more archers building for a long time" lol
So I did the last six and based the whole unit  8)

I really like your paint jobs, the knights in particular are lovelly. But getting those pesky archers finished is almost a greater achievement  lol

Still waiting for the inspiration needed to paint those archers... In the meantime I built 4 knights more.  ::)

Not a big update but here is the new unit:

Still need to add some detail...

Taggart: We'll work up a Number 6 on 'em.
Hedley Lamarr: [frowns] "Number 6"? I'm afraid I'm not familiar with that one.
Taggart: Well, that's where we go a-ridin' into town, a-whompin' and a-whumpin' every livin' thing that moves within an inch of its life. Except the women folks, of course.
Hedley Lamarr: You spare the women?
Taggart: Naw, we rape the shit out of them at the Number Six Dance later on!
Hedley Lamarr: Marvelous!
