What I painted in November (2008)
« on: November 26, 2008, 04:51:54 PM »
Well, someone got to be the first to post so I figure why not me?  lol
I know there is a few days to go before the end of the month but I’ll just add pictures if I have the time to finish anything more.
I’m currently waiting on an order of Flock and Static Grass to get to me to finish off the bases but the paint is done!  ;)

Some fantasy figures first...

... a bunch of FoW US...

... and a few WWII German in 28mm (that I will put for sale some time soon ;))

Cheers!  8)

Very nice. Your painting style is very clean, looking. Its hard to describe what i mean (I Hope that makes sense and its a compliment by the way :))

Thanks, I think I know what you mean  lol. I’m not really good at painting highlight and shading so I don’t really add those to my basic painting… Anyway, I’m not very a big fan of the 3 (or more) layers technique either. I think it look good at some distance but I think it look kind of "dirty" when you look closely… Now I’m not sure what I mean… it’s hard to find the right words when translating your thought in an other language.  ;D

I had quite a fruitful month for me.
Firstly the figures I intend to use in Broadsword Adventures:

And then some Future Wars figures:

All being well, I might even get one  or two others finished by the end of the month.
I don't know whether to be a good example or a horrible warning.

Another SOE adventurer, this time from Warm Acre.

From a tub of Early Learning Centre Dinos, come these monsterous Killer Roos.

Not sure how Roos are Dinos, but they'll make good prey for the Lost World hunters.

The forces of SkyNet are slowly growing, another batch of Robots from EM4.

Cheers again to Svennn the DH Nut for these Wraith minis, after he heroically answered the call when
I was seeking some Ringwraith models.

Well, if we're talking finished minis, then I have a grand total of naff all this month.  :(

Too cold in my nerd-hole in the loft to spend much time up there sitting still, and suffering a post-BLAM ennui. Now I don't have anything to work for, I can't seem to get motivated.

If I can get my arse in gear, I might be able to show three or four by Sunday night.

I've got tons undercoated though.  ::)

@revford, I have that Warmacre girly, but her gun snapped off as I was cleaning her up so she never got finished. Very thinly cast.

I didn't much like the alternate pose version of her, but I do really like this one.

Now I look more closely I can see in the photo that her pony tail has already taken some battle damage.  Back to the painting table for her.   :(

Yeah, this pose was my favourite of the pair as well, so double the dummy-spitting when I knackered it. That's why it never got finished.

Great stuff so far. I will wait and see if I can add to the three or four I have done before months end.

Nice to see the wraiths painted after so long in my attic. They have come out really well. I always imagined them in white for some reason.

Dinsdale is superb - that would have taken me all month on its own.

JB - can you not drill out the gun and add a wire barrell on the SOE adventurer??

Fantastic Bronze on those shields Capthugeca.

Love the big adventurer guy, almost comicbook but in a good way. Nice mini, nice paint Calimero.
