Haggis Rampant Campaign Game I
« on: December 09, 2015, 11:12:20 PM »
I managed to get in my first game of Haggis Rampant viz Lion Rampant suing the Late Medieval lists. There are about eight of us and we have two tables (6' x4') to play on at present so we're often fielding two half retinues which was the case last Thursday.

The scenario was The Messanger, which basically amounted to us acting as an escort a VIP messenger across the length of the table. From one diagonal to the next. Basically I can cut a long story short and say that we failed miserably in our task. lord Cameron will not be amused. We;ll. he proably isn't too bothered as he only lost some of the sack clad oafs that he had entrusted to the task at hand :)

You can read all about the fun and frolics (and listen to me have a little moan!) on my Late MedievalLa Journee Blog  here:

A few taster pics:

This picture is rather telling!:

Cheers,
Darrell.

I believe that it is scratch built Patrice so it is something that is reasonably easily done after a bit of work :)

It does indeed. Maybe Mike just made the circle part then(?). Not sure- I'll ask him tonight.  :D

That is a very difficult scenario to win. We played it at the lion Rampant campaign day and with a retinue on foot it seems to take forever to get anywhere near the objective. Whilst the other army just happily sits there taking potshots at your men.  :(

It looks like you're having fun though.  ;)
