Really like what you've done.  I've been holding out on getting some of those wizards, but if see myself getting them in the future.

Thanks Justin

Jennifer, it is actually really simple. I just drybrush a metal colour. I think it was the discontinued Mithril Silver for this one. The pic was taken outside so the natural light bounces off nicely.

Thanks for the kind words! :)

My guess is their English name would be Shades. They are ghosts. The Dutch translations and descriptions are hillarious.

Let's not kid ourselves. The D&D set was pretty horrid. I mean, I had fun painting them, but they were terrible. So I was really pumped to get back into Frostgrave.

Thanks for looking! :)

And the Wraith Knights. I would love to have two more variants of these guys, they are so cool!! There was obviously no way I was not going to give them glowy eyes. I think it turned out rather well! :)

The Flesh Golem was a bit of an experiment in fleshy tones. Not sure if I succeeded, but it's good enough.

Really gorgeous!  I can't wait to get a bunch of Frostgrave minis and to learn how to paint even half as good as you did.

Thank you very much Jennifer. However, it would be a shame if you started painting half as good as me, since you are already past that stage, if you ask me. But... As much as I am far from the ultimate authority on painting, if you are interested in tips and tricks on certain aspects you like about my work, drop me a PM or something.

I've definitely enjoyed this thread, especially since you are using the Frostgrave models.

Nice purples on those wraith knights, and great job on the apothacaries bottle. Great job all round in fact!

Thanks everyone! And Philhelm, I am a bit of a purist, as well as a completionist, so expect pretty much most of the official models to eventually find their way here. I do, however, have a couple of non-official models lined up, but nothing spectacular.

In the meantime:

Witch. Lovely model, I decided to give all the new browns I got a go, and ended up with a very earthy Witch, which (bah!) I like.

Thank you! I am quite pleased with them myself.

We had a 4-player introductory game last night. We only got to finish turn 2, but that's okay. I got to meet two new people, who were both very nice folks, and the one who was introduced to the game really liked it, so good times!

Overview of the battlefield

We only rolled one encounter, and it came up on my side...

Painted this well a while ago. It is perfect for Bolt Action, Warhammer, Mordheim and Frostgrave... among plenty more games, I suppose. I love this scenery!

I probably would've beaten him, but we had to quit. It was getting late.

Well, I am a bit of a purist, but certainly not a completionist.   :'(
