The Daniel36 Chronicles - Frostgrave Adventures
« on: December 17, 2015, 04:20:34 PM »
Hello everyone,

It's about time I opened up a project log of my own. I've had my warbands set up and ready to be painted for quite a while now, but real life got in the way so it took me a little while before I could get to it.

I decided to start with the most fun part, the wizards. First up, my Enchanter and his Apprentice. Anyone have a good name for my Enchanter? I think the Apprentice will be Björn. He looks like a Björn.

I quite liked the original paint scheme so I stuck with it. Expect me to do the same for the majority of the Wizards... and yes, all of them are on their way. Plus a whole lot more.

Thanks for looking. Comments and criticism are all much appreciated.

Looks great.  As for the apprentice, how about Olaf?  He looks like he'd be an Olaf.

I can already see Olaf and Björn on their way to new adventures.

Good start!

Nice work Daniel.
I'm working on the same figures, had some issues with the mostly brown colors. You made them pop with the red and yellow, nice work!

Thanks! It's basically a copy of the official colour scheme, which I quite liked.

More:

Two models a day. I must be on something. Don't think I will keep that up for long though... Unless I make a start on them rats now... Then things will really go quickly.

Again, I opted to stick close to the official colour scheme because I like it and it is easy to paint if you have a reference. Hope you guys like them. For some reason my camera doesn't feel like taking good pictures though... Must be the light outside... Not sure on these guys' names yet... Suggestions welcome!

Haha, I love you guys' names. But Kyle? Seriously? Haha... No, not Kyle. I quite like Reinhardt the Accursed, but for the apprentice I am thinking of naming him Vilhelm (after Philhelm) if I may.

And Harry, I have seen your work (and the astonishing speed at which you accomplish it) and come on man, yours are going to look at least as good as mine, probably better. You do striking colours so well.

Yeah, they do sport cool hairdos.

Anyways, someone must have put crack in my food or something... because today I started and finishes 12 models!!!

Okay, okay, they're not exactly the most detailed models and certainly not my finest work, but it's the small things that matter, right?

Yeah I wasn't too happy about it either. But, something had to be done...

At least now I can safely return to my henchmen.

It doesn't show too well in this pic but his shoulder is bleeding, and some of the blood has fallen on the stones, and he is reaching for his shoulder with his other arm. A pretty cool build, I think. Not entirely realistic, but a nice change of pace from the stock standard builds I also have.
