Books on C18th/C19th smuggling?

Ok so I'm weak and it doesn't take much shiny to tempt me. The great posts on this board have inspired me to start a new project. Not a big project but enough to add some variety to the gaming calendar.

Being all sensible I'll do a tad of research first, so can anyone suggest good books on C18th/early C19th smuggling in southern England? I'm particularly interested in the cat and mouse games between smugglers/wreckers and Excise-men.

Not sure about historical studies, but as far as literature goes, Jamaica Inn, Moofleet, and the Dr Syn novels are the staples of the genre  

Edit. That'd be Moonfleet, not MOOfleet. That's the one about sea-going cows
