A plan for 2016 / 2017

Finally finished my SYW Austrian infantry (less a few flags and a bit of basing). http://olicanalad.blogspot.co.uk/2016/01/austrian-infantry-painted.html



So, that's 592 Austrian infantry done, 12 Austrian guns and 48 crew done, 114 Austrian cavalry done. Just 56 Austrian cavalry to go. Almost there now. The SYW Project has been a long time coming to fruition, what with the Prussians and the Russian armies (finished already). All in all that will be 162 units.



One last push and my SYW will be finished........

....Then onto the Peninsular Napoleonic project, over half of which is in this 28 kg box.

I plan on keeping this one simple. I'm not going to plan for a battle but plan for gaming. Most of the games I play have one or two players a side. I reckon my table (up to 15 x 6, usually 12 x 6) best suits about twenty four units a side. So, thirty or so French units, thirty or so Anglo Portugese units, and a dozen or so Spanish units will be plenty. The plan: Paint thirty six units a year for two years - done and dusted.

Ambitious stuff but we've seen before that you'll triumph!

Re-kindles my interest in the Peninsula somewhat as I've got loads of troops for that already and they've not been deployed for a couple of years!
