Lovely brushwork, as usual, on some wonderful classic sculpts.

Great!
I love the old EC figures and think they work really well as characters for 40K too with just a little imagination.
I am thinking Inquisitorial types, for example.

Here are a few selected shots from a Mordheim campaign we played this WE. We played about 4 games each with 8 contestants and all games were linked with a bit of roleplay for added fun. Our GM did an amazing job with the tables as you can see but with the backstory as well which made the game something better than just a savage street butchery !

You can find the battle report here on the blog.

What a wonderful treat for us all.
Some great eye candy in there.
 :-* :-*

You have gotten me thinking that it is time to break out the Mordheim scenery, especially as we have a brithday gaming day for a friend coming up soon, maybe a Mordy-Fest could be on the cards.

That looks amazing!  There is a story and more in every photograph.  I need nice terrain or at least someone nearby with nice terrain.

Thanks a lot !

Now for something completely different, here's Morcar from Heroquest ! The model is one of the freebies at the Oldhammer event in 2016 sculpted by Geoff Sims.

So I came back from BOYL like many people with a special model converted by the talented hands of no other than Kev Adams the Goblin master himself !
I had a scifi pirate done last time so this time I went for a shiny bright fantasy paladin !

Now a bit a marmite of a model : a Bob Olley Skeleton ! I know they're not to everyone's taste but I really advise anyone doubting to just paint one and see how enjoyable they are and how they seem to paint themselves.

You can read more about it in the blogpost.

The latest additions are WONDERFUL.. The Living Impaired Crossbowman is OUTSTANDING; BEAUTIFULLYpainted & based, the Deadite Lad has a SPLENDIDLY expressive face...not easy for a skull. VERY WELL DONE once more!

Fabulous thread, I really like the skeleton. It's got character, which is something you don't really get with skeletons - except when they have different armour. I can see how it would be fun to paint!
