Just finished a male adventurer in a suit of armor (#8).  His armor looks similar to a female warrior (a few posts down) that I have already painted.  Maybe they were both sent by the same Lord to handle the "nasty business" of killing orcs and their like.

Here is #9  a no nonsense merc.

The group shot.

Nicely done. The metal work looks great, especially on the armoured adventurer.

I was finally able to get some pics of my very small dungeon.  I'm using Hirst Arts cobblestone wall and cracked 1" floor tiles.  I have been looking at other people's dungeons and trying to find something that would work for me.  I decided to go with this style as I like the way it looks.  I plan to use these pieces for HeroQuest, Advanced HeroQuest, or any other dungeon crawling game.  This was the real reason why I wanted to start painting my orcs and goblins.

I just realized that I did not put the corner blocks in  :-[  I have painted some blocks to fit in the corners so the wall comes to a point.

This is what I would like to make eventually.

Now on tho the basing question... What do you all think looks good?  I plan to use the figures in the dungeon and also out in the open.  I'm leaning more towards the one with two toned green flock with a small plant/bush.  I can also add some of the same basing to the dungeon to tie them both together.

Any C&C is welcome

I would go for static grass or flocked bases, regardless of the dungeon crawl element to your play as I think that this would add more interest to the base. I get that it doesn't match the stone floor but I think that the bases would look acceptable in the dungeon with the foliage but bare and unfinished in any other situation.

Thank you all for the compliments.

Mr.J, I'm also leaning towards the flocked basses.  I originally thought of just having the brown/dirt base but they look incomplete to me.  I also think that if I put some of the same flock in the dungeon it will not look too out of place.  My dungeon could use with some dirtying up  :D

Revfan, Yep I live in VA Beach.  Are you stationed in Germany or there for nonmilitary reasons?

Treebeard, I forgot what I drew the diagram on until after I posted the picture  ::)  Right after I posted the picture I was like, Well, we've gone too far to change it now  lol

I have to admit, it is very fun putting the plaster blocks together.  I guess all those years of playing with Lego paid off  :)

Here is a Reaper Bones Halfling Ranger.  I tried to keep his look similar to the Dwarf Ranger I had previously painted.  I also finally decided on a basing style for my adventurers and the orcs/goblins.  It looks good on a field or in a dungeon.  I have six goblins near the end of their painting, but they probably will not get finished for a day or two.

Just finished the bases on these little rascals.  Any C&C is welcome.

I have 10 more goblins and 8 more orcs and then I think I'm done with them for a while.

A little thread necromancy to show off..... my necromancer.  I recently received a box of Frostgrave Cultists and had to put some together for my necromancer.  He is made out of GW wizard bits plus a few extra things.  The hand holding the book was left off to ease painting.

I then put together some followers.  They are made up of Frostgrave, GW, and Victrix bits.  First is a skeleton and a zombie.  I picture them as movable shields for the wizard.

Up next are some cultist followers.  Sword and shield men.

Various bandits.

And some missile troops.

I just put together figures that I thought would look cool with no set of rules in mind.  Sorry for the blurry pics, they were taken with my phone ...

Great job!  They look fantastic, lots of character.  I love the old white plastic GW elf heads, those sure bring back some memories :-)
When fighting the thousand, you must still defeat them one at a time.
