Saga Saracens
« on: January 16, 2016, 05:48:32 PM »
I have completed a 6pt Saga army of Saracens for my brother and since I had to send him some pictures I decided to just post them on Lead Adventure. I changed my usual technique of highlighting over a wash to a more subtle style. I like them but even for 28mm they might be too subtle when viewed on a tabletop so I might return to the more contrast provided by working over a wash.

Very nice paint jobs! What manufacturer(s) are they?

I think the "subtle style" is gorgeous! Seeing Moors and Saracens painted in all manner of colourful patterns always lifts my spirits a bit. There's something delightful about them.

What manufacturer(s) are they?

From what I can tell, Gripping Beast and Artizan, with GB in the majority.

Faultless. I'd stick with this style of painting, it looks great.

That's right. Mostly Gripping Beast with a few Artizan from their Moor range. The General and bannerman are Artizan with plastic hand and mace supplied by Gripping Beast plastic sprue.

I appreciate the nice comments - now I have to find away to pack them to survive a long mail trip (hence the weapons are just blu tacked on).
