mixed weapons

hello,

it's been some time since my last game of T&T and then all my minis had rifles, so this question never occured to me. But now I'm building a force for the Sudan with only very few minis with rifles and I'm simply not shure if I can put Ansar armed with spears and swords and Ansar armed with rifles in one unit?

The T&T colonial expansion does not specify Mahdist or NWF Pathan units can have mixed weapons (although it does for the Zulu), but does say you can equip sword/spear armed troops with extra weapons like muskets and rifles.

As the game uses 1xd10 per shot I see no reason why you should not mix them and only roll for the shooters.
