Just a mix of chopped up fine straw, pva and some flocking.

Ta. 30 years ago, when I started on this hobby, I never would have thought I'd spend so much time trying to replicate Victorian poo.

Don't!

Brilliant stuff James, even though it's sh!t you've made it look great  :D

Is it just me or does the positioning of the figures in the photo's make it look like there's a game of hide and seek going on?

lol lol Very good Mark  ;)

Are the sewer bricks laser engraved too?

Styrene sheeting. I laser the bricks from 2mm acrylic and getting it to bend around the curves (although possible) is a nightmare.

cheers

James

Kudos Jimbo.   This is one of those projects we all think about but you have managed to pull it off with aplomb.  Needs to be much bigger and sprawling though ;D  and where are the drain covers up top from where the poo is coming down the walls?

Beautiful work! Reminds me of the old sewers and tunnels in Seattle. Amazing what gets buried when you are rebuilding after a disaster.

Sewers are among our greatest achievements and your cloaca (like the Cloaca Maxima of ancient Rome) is among one of the great achievements here on LAF - you should be very proud of what you have made. My miniatures wish they had such civilised amenities.

Even my roman street gangs would love to play on your sewers. :)
Lovely work.
