[Blood Bowl] Human Team
« on: January 24, 2016, 06:59:24 PM »
I had a very good find on ebay some month ago and get 12 of the 16 GW metal human team for 25€ ... Ok I'm missing 4 of them but when I see some seller selling one of them for 10€ I'm quite happy with my purchase :)

I have started painting them this week-end. I've tried to make them look as the SF 49ers.

Here are three of them at different stage of completion. (iPhone photos ... sorry)

Nice find!  :o

Next time you something similar, do buy a set for me as well  ;D

Great paint jobs on them, the whole team will look awesome.

Very cool sculpts, I'd never seen these actually.  The catcher's face is priceless.  It looks like he's preparing to receive...a charge from a huge baddie.

Brilliant.
They really look the part and the face on that first fella is exceptional.
 :-* :-*

I reckon that you should place an ad in the (WANTED) section to see if you can locate the four that you have missing.
I am sure people on here would be much more sensible with pricing compared to ebay.

This seller was also selling high elves for a very similar price but I lost the auction for a few seconds.
Believe me that if multiple sets were available I would have purchased them all :p

It looks like he's preparing to receive...a charge from a huge baddie.

That was what I wanted him to look like ... so thanks, it make me feel succesful.

I may try it even if I doubt that someone would sell only four of a complete team. I have 2 Catchers, 2 Throwers, 3 Blitzers and 5 Linemen which is quite a good start for a human team.
I would probably need to find one more blitzer and one or two linemen as well as an Ogre to get a versatile roster.

Very nice painting. That face is priceless.

Thanks, Unfortunately that's the only very nice face of the team. Other ones are more common.

Really nice figures, and for a bargain price!

Your painting does them justice :)

iirc Blood Bowl team were sold in teams of 12 minis, so you're not "missing" anything, unless you want a full roster of 16 players.

Anyway, for your second blitzer I would suggest this one from Heresy:

Honest price and very nice mini.

No not this one. GW released a complete 16 miniatures (all different). It was released quite a long time after the initial team boxes which, you are right, contained only 12 miniatures. Before they removed Games Specialists it was sold 60€ for the full team (16)

The Heresy alternative for the 4th Blitzer is quite good. Thanks to bring it to my attention

Don't play Blood Bowl for reasons that belong to a specific thread here  ;) but wanted to say that you did an excellent job in painting the miniatures!
