Another unit from the First Strike mini starter set this time Primaris Space Marine Reivers. These will be the starter of a new Primaris only Chapter, I've tentatively named Crimson Templars,  eventually but for now I'm just trying to get everything in the starter set painted so I can have a few learn the game skirmishes.

Good colour choices and nice painting. Tempted by the set, and it seems to be pretty good value.

thanks guys.

Yes I bought the start set with a view to getting my 9 year old Nephew a game or two, he is always fascinated by uncle Jon's soldiers when he comes to visit, seems like the perfect price point for such ventures.

Next up the Poxwalkers from the starter set. I really like these miniatures …I mean how can you not love Nurgle plague zombies? I tried to make them look as gross as possible and used a lot of ink washing on these guys I also used gloss varnish at the end on some of the more oozing slimy bits.

I now have the last Primaris unit to finish and the whole starter set is done. Thanks to the Warhammer Conquest magazine I was able to double up on my Nurgle model count on the cheap. However because I don’t like the idea of duplicate minis I converted the second two batches of easy build units they are now ready for painting at some point.

Nicely done. I like the lasguns that are now clubs, as it begs the question - what happened to the previous owners?

Yes I had the idea that they where the owners of the las-guns but once the Deathguard had deployed some horrible poison plague gas they became Poxwalkers and used their las-guns as a big old clubs.. :D

So this the last unit from the First Strike box set the easy build Primaris Intercessors unit. Not to much to say about them really they are nice, if limited, miniatures I painted them up to match the other Primaris from the box set in my own colour scheme.

and a picture of the whole starter set painted

Nice.

So that is the First Strike box. Must resist (even though it is not much more than the price of a couple of figures).

Its a nice little starter set 15 miniatures, a small play mat, a scenery piece, a mini rule book and accessories for less than a box of primaris marines is a pretty good deal.
