Very nice!

Thanks Timmo and Atheling for more recipes.

I've done Google image searches of modern day Beja and they seem to range from a mid brown to a very dark brown in the pictures.

Arabs are from quite light skinned to very dark.

Lots of recipes to work with thanks to everyone.

Atheling please do post up that pic when you can as I'd like to see the result. Why use matt spray on varnish before the undercoat, and is there any reason why I could not use brush on varnish?

My mistake, i mean't Matt Spray On primer! Halfords is fine in this regard.

I've edited my earlier post so I don't cause the same confusion for others :)

Really threw me why you would spray on matt varnish first!! Over 20 years painting and I'd never come across that method before!  lol

Been working on my Normans. But I'm going to get cracking on them over the next few days!
