I found this chap dumped by a bin this morning, and picked him up, dusted him off a bit, and am now thinking of kitbashing him a bit. I'll chop off his hands, they're too large and lack detail; but I have no idea what to replace them with. He seems to be a cheap 2nd cousin twice removed of Robocop, so I'll do hm up as a large police/Sentinel type chap.
I am tempted to keep the red button in the middle as an emergency stop button.

I do hope you can see that I'm not talking of Socrates here, but the golden fellow in the background....

The robot's hands are gone - too big, too featureless, holding the gun wrongly.
Now I need to decide whether to replace these with guns or with some sort of bludgeon - as it's going to be a police sort of robot I'm avoiding claws, swords etc.
I'll probably go for a symmetrical weapons, not one and one, unless I go for a riot shield.

Nice find. Riot shield and net gun. Or two net guns would be my suggestion.

Cool idea!

Net gun and water/Dredd style riot foam cannon? Could also do double duty as a firefighter then  lol

Or Riot shield and some kind of grenade launcher for crowd control/serious threat response?

Handsome cat, btw :)

Socrates, of course, doesn't need any converting. He looks great just as he is!

The shield idea is still gripping me - although the net or foam guns sound attractive....decisions!
I might have a plan.
Trouble is, nothing to be done today as I ran out of glue.  :-[

I tend to not want anything 'shield', though I've seen some permanent on the sides, almost shoulder guards, that almost seemed right.

Multi-function hand replacements, NOT hands, would be the way I'd go. Foam/gas/nets on one side, on the other, barrels, maybe rubber sabot, up to lethal projectiles/grenades. It's a harsh, harsh world in the future.  ;)

Or, maybe riot gear on the wrists, 'now you've pissed me off' on the shoulders.

You could use the hands from that toy robot sitting near him.

The fluffy toy has not quite toy claws hidden in his mitts, and is not afraid to use them.....so maybe I'm not chopping them off, not unless I want to be eviscerated.
