Late Romans
« on: February 17, 2016, 08:58:47 PM »
I was asked if I would paint up a small force of Foundry late romans – how could I refuse? They are, after all, my favourite 28mm figures. Several pictures on my blog page:

I've also uploaded the pictures to a new gallery page on this forum. I haven't yet fathomed out how to share it!

They are beautiful models, indeed. Would be even better if they had more variety in poses, but well...

You definitely brought out the best in them. And I just realize you did not use decals for the shields.
That is impressive!

Thanks. Some of the shields are hand painted, the rest are LBM.

Once in your related gallery (found here), left-click on a photo; once it's open, right-click and select "copy image address" (or a similar wording), which gives you a link then to be pasted into your post and put between the [ img ][ /img ] tags (available via the "Insert image" icon).

Result:

Nice Late Romans, by the way. :)

Very nice.
Thanks for the inspiration. I want to start doing some late Rome / Early Dark Ages myself this year.
Below is a link to my blog. It's the place where I write uninteresting things about little toy soldiers. I do this because I refuse to grow up and behave like an adult.

Splendid looking unit, nice finish on what are still one of the best later Roman figure ranges.
