Yee of little faith !!!!!
Thanks gents, I always knew it was going to work ..... honest

Do you just use washes of your own, or do you use proprietary weathering powders, filters and suchlike?
Hey Richard, no all my washes for lining and shading are made up. I usually use thinned acrylics for the base outlining of panels and lately I've been using oils (30yr old tubes of WnN) for the final shading. I don't put on an overall filter unless something's gone drastically wrong as I think filters darken things up way too much and it's always easier to add more shading but you can't come back from a filter.
I have a couple of MIG pigments that I use for tracks only and homemade powders (made from old dried up Humbrols which I grind up in a mortar and pestle) that I use for "dusting".
Having said all of that I'd love to try more off the shelf stuff to get more consistency and repeatability but I'd need one of the fancy companies to "sponsor" me .... hence the el-cheapo alternatives.
cheers
Brent
and thought I'd make an overall pic of the progression steps. The pics aren't the best and the lighting's a bit different each time but it give some idea of much the paintwork develops as the layers are built up.
