28mm WW2 Japanese...Wartime Miniatures
« on: 29 February 2016, 10:20:26 AM »
This is a brand new range of 28mm WW2 Japanese from Wartime Miniatures - well, not all of the range, there's lots more to follow, including artillery. I have more underway on my workbench, plus I have done a bunch more Aussie Militia to oppose them. My favourite are the prone sniper team.

Nice work!

The figures themselves seem to be quite an improvement on their Australians. The again, that's not an especially high bar to surmount.

You are quite right, they're bloody awful. They look more like Al Capone's mob* than the 39th on the Kokoda track. I've seen 'em in the flesh and thought mehhhhh. Decent paint job not withstanding, I'm still not tempted.

Still, that's a personal opinion, your mileage may vary.  I'd be flabbergasted if it didn't.  :)

* Well they would had Al's men been a collection of oddly shaped dwarves in trilby hats.

Great work, looking forward to seeing how the SNLF turn out. I've got some of those and some Aussies coming to me from the kickstarter.

As for the Aussies it's all a matter of personal opinion but I like the sculpts! I will also enjoy having Australian figures sculpted and made in Australia. Somehow that means more!
