It's a shame the modular set comes with shields moulded on as that limits their modularity and use as thugs/ Thieves, etc. but indeed they look great and would give a very nice Norse themed wild looking warband. Thanks for the link

In particular should have read this section

"It is my intention to create more Norse themed figures to compliment this warband as funding allows. These plans include 5 semi modular Thugs fitted for universally interchangeable right and left hands and heads, a berserker with two handed axe, a shield maiden, a female ranger, an alternate male ranger, a female wizard and an alternate male wizard. As thee figures are funded they will become items available for selection as add- on rewards."

He closed the proposed plastics box...and re-opened another wave of metals instead.  Looks like similar sculpts, though not identical.

They are the same figures though, he's just worked on them more.

I've been on a number of Tre's projects in the past, and his work is absolutely stunning.

His first project had some issues with fulfilment as he was trying a new material, but since he's returned to metal all his projects have been fulfilled quickly. I've got no hesitation to jump on this one, especially considering the subject matter. Does someone want to flick him an email explaining what figures we need for a Frostgrave band?

The WIP pictures of the modular thugs finally made me break down and back this.  I was all in on the first one when it was going to be a modular plastic set but eventually couldn't resist.  I really like Tre's sculpts and the two or 3 I own have all been a joy to paint.

The characters are pretty nice too, so why not? Maybe the succes of this KS will convince Tre he should stop bothering with restic/plastic/trollforge or whatever and simply stick to the good old metal.
