Ruined Amera Buildings
« on: 11 March 2016, 07:12:10 AM »
I bought two of Amera's Plastic buildings (http://www.amera.co.uk/). They come as vacuum formed plastic, but I had bigger plans.

Since the building come 'hollow', I filled them in with recycled tissue paper (my wife goes though a box per week) and then covered the paper with Timbermate.

I spray painted them brown and added some foliage for that "nature gets its revenge" look.

For the larger office building, I added some broken grass from scored packaging from some food

The office furniture is from Eureka in Melbourne.

Nice one Mac!  :-*  :-*  :-*

The different scatter you used in the growies works really well. They look very natural and varied.

The new 'top floor office' has a greatly improved view now, that must see a raise in property value.  ;D

Amera has some nice stuff, will we see some more in the near future Mac? or was that the extent of your order?

Cheers
Matt

That is really impressive looking! 8)

from the Amera site, I never took those buildings to be just the facings. I had assumed they existed from a front and a rear moulding, so you could join the two together. But instead, you had to fill the front half...

Hmm, even though the amera offerings are pretty cheap, that does limit their usefulness somewhat. :\

Still; you did a cracking job and the inside of the walls now look even better than the outside and the end result is really convincing. The foliage especially really works.

Great job!
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...
