Warlord's German Heer Winter Weapon Teams

Hi all,

I was lucky enought to receive some of Warlords "Early Access" German Special Weapon Teams and fancied painting some more WWII figures after finishing the HQ Group a Week or so ago. The Set consists of a Sniper Team, a Flamethrower Team and a "Panzerschreck" Team and only 150 were available for a limited time until the General Release later in the Year.

The sculpts are just beautiful, especially the Coats and the Teams in General were a pleasure to paint. I painted them with the same colour combination as the ones used on my HQ Group but this time I used Reaper's "Camouflage Green" Triad for the Coats as I wanted a slighter darker finish.

I'm actually not sure. The sculpts and proportion are a little different to the other group I painted before (HQ Set) so it could be ;-)

No problem, and again, they look great!

I'd say it isn't, Mr Hicks has a very distinctive style and i'm pretty sure he doesn't work for warlord.

I suspect the sculptor is Wojtek, their regular WW2 sculptor. The cartoon heads and over exaggerated facial expressions appear to be his trademark.

Very nice paintwork by the way.
