A little bit more accomplished, finished the standard bearer and musician - in spite of my reservations the drummer was actually quite fun to do and just needs a turban decoration:

The half ogres have had the second chap finished and some armour added to the first, I thought I'd chuck in a WIP for the bell of it:

Now I'm planning to focus on the half ogres, so I guess the spearmen are done... whoop! I'll put up a picture of all the spearmen unit sculpts at some point (hah) once they're off their corks.

Hoping to get some painting done soon, and maybe some scenery too.

Thanks for looking.

Okey-dokey. So, remember that little scrap of metal that was kindly provided as a sample cast? Well, dagnammit, I actually butched up enough to get some paint onto it!

Here he is, front and back, next to a couple of Polar Fox Goblins:

Hope you like, thanks for looking.

Cheers Andym!

Some other bits and bobs while the sculpting continues. A couple of WIP cork assemblages on old CDs, simple ruined structures which I'm hoping to use as 10mm surface dungeoncrawl rooms/areas as well as for my intended 15mm Rogue Planet project. First pic with 10mm, second with 15mm.

Finally, after what seems like ages, another Half-Ogre. This time with a massive great branch with some spiky rocks wedged into it. Bit of a blurry pic I'm afraid but I hop you get the idea.

More dollies are on corks so I'm hoping to get started on another one soon....... hmmm, what weapon this time?

I've started painting up the scenery too, but I'm deadly slow when it comes to getting scenic items finished.

Thanks for looking.

Thanks chaps.

I've been distracted and started sculpting a 10/11mm Vampire Count type fellow(cloak and huge collar included). I've never been able to find one I like, and I loved the old Mordheim vampire but never had one, so I thought 'what the hell' and am having a go.

Will have something photographable soon.

Thanks for looking.

As mentioned in my previous post, here's WIP shot of my 10mm Vampire Count. Needs a ton more work but you get the idea.

Also, I've just got the Otherworld Fantasy Skirmish rules and think they look pretty awsome. Since it's a skirmish game the combat rules all look pretty sound but I really want character development of D&D and the basebuilding of Frostgrave (via the D&D 3rd edition Stronghold Builder's guide) so I'm thinking of mashing up the rules a bit.

In my mind I'm imagining combining Otherworld with D&D character indiduality with basically having the chance to build a classic X-COM style base for my hero club...... but in FANTASY!

Back to reality though and I've dug through the lead puddle and thrown together some figures for my hero gang:

Thanks folks, finally managed to get my Vampire Count finished off after what seemed like a month away from pretty much anything hobby related.

I think I've got him pretty much as I want, a bit of a retro style Dracula fit to boss around various creatures of the night! Fun to sculpt and I'm keen to get a whole range of monsters and characters done, but first there are another two half ogres that need finishing.

Thanks for looking.

Some more bits and bobs. A few Magister Militum ghosts:

These were a nice quick (for me at any rate) group to paint and I think they have a decent scooby doo ghost vibe. I think I'm going to have to add a gang of teenage investigators to my sculpting list.

Here are the spooks giving a trio of goblins the heebie-jeebies on the first bit of scenery I've almost finished in probably 20 years.

A bit more of the fantastical 10mm painting done, this time my second Warmaster/Dragon Rampant unit. That 'complete army by 2050' is starting to look like it may actually become a reality!

This bunch of Halberdiers represent the Tailors' Guild, and cut a dash in purple and grey/black with fancy red shoes and hats....... the Cobblers' Guild (and without doubt the Milliners' Guild) will be represented by another unit but the two Guilds have very long and close ties.

Thanks for looking.
