Hello to you all once more!

Today I bring three orcs for the current Heroquest project. These are Heartbreaker Miniatures, and the guy who gave these gave eight miniatures but only two poses, so to make the painting less monotonous I decided to paint two groups of three orcs and one of two, using the same colours on every group.
Red group is the first one to come to life. Still deciding on the rest. I will change the skin tone too.

Apologies for the poor pictures, this is the best I can get from a 6+ year smartphone.

One little step further in the Heroquest commission (I'm fortunate enough to not be pressured with dates, as Real Life has been getting in the way these last two months)

Although far from perfect, I'm happy with how my freehand skills are progressing.

The Heroquest commission keeps progressing as slow as the continents drift away from each other. Today I present a bunch of goblins from the OOP Heartbreaker

Left to paint there are 4 Chaos Warriors, a Chaos Sorcerer, 6 Fimirs and the Orc Boss.

The goblins look great. I especially like their skin tone but metals are tasty, too.

I haven't been idle this summer, and the end of the commission gets closer day by day. Today I bring you some reptilian murderous rapist creatures from the swamps, also known as Fimirs:

And also the big man in the dungeon, the Chaos Sorcerer in all his 90's glory:

Thanks for looking !

Big update !!

The Heroquest minions commission is finished at last. The patron would've liked to throw the heroes into the commission as well, but this week I'm heading over Sweden to stay there for a year due to my studies, so I won't be able to paint anything for a time.

I've been a "victim" of the Photobucket thingie too, so I decided to take better photographs of everything painted and put them on Flickr, and reupload the images here. Without further delay, here's everything. Hope you enjoy.

And a family photo (fimirs were excluded from this)

"That is not dead which can eternal lie"

I decided to revive this thread through necromantic means after nearly four years in order to post my other projects not related to Confrontation.

First of all, some plastic scenery from GW. Say what you'd like about the Evil Empire, but these scenery kits they put out from time to time are quite nice, more so if you manage to get them at a discount.

An elf archer from MOM Miniatures. This miniature sat half-painted for nearly five years, mainly because the sculpt is quite crude on some areas. Nevertheless, it's done and I'm moving on.

3d printed FDM rats. I tested 3d-printing miniatures on my Ender 3 using a 0.3 nozzle and the Tomb of Printed Horrors profile for Cura, and I got some decent results. I may try some more 3d printed figures now that I'm a bit broke while looking for a job.

The Chainrasps from the Mortal Realms Issue #1. This were painted applying yellow ink on a coat of Carmine Ink (Winsor&Newton), which seems that can reactivate no matter how much time you let it cure. There are several spots where the WN Ink reappeared, but luckily it adds to the "spectral effect".

Nothing wrong with that...good threads mature like a fine wine  :D

Really like the choice of colours for the chainrasps, but the rust on that sword is just  :-* :-*  :-*

Very nice indeed.  I'm with you on the GW's terrain kits, many of them are really quite nice and not all that badly priced when compared to similarly sized resin scenery, to say nothing of being comparatively lightweight and easier to transport.  3D printing is rapidly eclipsing both resin and injection molding for terrain pieces, but it's not quite there yet.
