Loving the light mech!  I'll have to get some of those.   

Definitely factory fresh - I'd love to see it with some decals and battle damage weathering, to give it some personality.

Some very nice miniatures - that's a very cool green you've managed there with the dead leaves on the base.

Nice work on the mechs, the lenses/lights are particularly good.

Thanks James - your 'Japanese on Mars' is what I hope this tread might one day be  - really inspiring stuff and probably one of the things that got me re-engaged with toy soldiers after a long break

Mini update

Tidied up one of the Russian RPG teams and based them.

Took the day off & had planned to do a load of painting. Didn't happen but did get out my random half made bits of terrain for the ostfront - 2' x 2' baseboard, hill, wood, road sections, ukrainian windmill and soviet monument. Have a very clear color palette in mind for the terrain - muted autumnal colors with everything stained with tea to pull it all together. These have gone back in storage for when (if) we every get a bigger house. Sticking with getting the armies sorted for now.

Yes progress happening slowly but work / kids / halloween have taken over. A soviet squad almost there and a few misfires on my british indians but inching forward  . Updates in the next day or so…

Quick update of my Weird War British Indians. Been going around the houses with these trying a number of different colour schemes (including a bad attempt at a denison smock which didn't work).

Not a great photo as rushing out the door & just snapped on the edge of the bed...Better photo at the weekend

Thanks all for the encouragement.

The figure is a conversion - west wind sotr British para body and the head is from somewhere else (ramshackle games??) that I ordered years ago. For the rest  of the troopers I'm using the meridian miniatures eastern heads.
