Nice! The tower? Go lush, go baroque.

The decision was made to go Romanesque so it can be used for earlier periods if necessary. I do like the baroque style though  :)

Just don't put a dome on it, eh....?
 ;D

Two words. One of them is hat, the other is arse. Arrange them at your leisure  ;D

And carrying on from where I left off...

All the main construction is done along with the roofing and architectural details, the only thing left to make is the Romanesque door way but I'll be doing that at work this coming week. Also needs a cross on the tower, debating whether to solder one in brass or laser cut it.

Looking very good. The roofs will tie the collection in nicely.

Lasercut the cross so you can magnetise the base, to prevent accidents and to make it swappable in the future?

Another great build in progress.  I'm missing the individual bricks on these though.

Looks wonderful James.

I hope there will be a bell in that tower though...

Thanks gents  :)

I'll see what David says about the cross and I do have a bell around here somewhere.

Lovely work. Simple Romanesque works as well. Crosses are as often as not absent from the tower on churches of that type.

Do be careful extracting the bell from the cat though, it's probably got used to it as an adornment. Of course if you plan a replacement, then a good, solid brass bell, weighing at least half the cat's body weight, will usually prevent them from chasing birds and climbing up onto the furniture. ;)

Fortunately it's from a chocolate bunny  ;)

Interesting about the cross, I've got a couple of pictures that have them and a couple that have not. I'm assuming it's a more modern addition then?

 lol

Looks great. It will compliment the one you have done already, should be a lovely village when the whole is finished. ;D

And the work continues  :)

Finished the construction and painted on the texture although I might put a few flagstones at the front. Still the windows to cut out but they will be stuck in when the building is painted.

cheers
