Had a game of SAGA the other day, where my Starks were slaughtered by some strange looking folk.

So I've been a bad Stark and not taken pictures of my miniatures for quite some time. There's a SAGA Age of the Wolf campaign on, and I have gotten some painting done.

So here's all the new stuff for the last quarter of 2016.

Stark Archers now number 25, two full units of Levy plus an extra Bard the Bowman from the Hobbit.

I made some Stark men at arms to round out the numbers, these will be lesser nobles, knights, cousins in direct service to House Stark:

Here is Ser Helman Tallhart, who is slain at Duskendale.

And a Manderly, probably Ser Wendel. I decided to simplify their arms.

So that's what my Stark force looks like right now. I play them as Angle-Danes in SAGA right now, and probably won't need all that many more models before the campaign is over. Later I will most likely make some mounted models so that I can play them as Rus Princes, which have a very nice winter themed battleboard.

Awesome!

Ser Wendel is fantastic, full of character, just right I think!

Had another game today. The archers did absolutely nothing this time around, after having been heroes in my last couple of games. Still won as my household men at arms cut down the enemy Warlord.

We're back, with a ton of stuff! I've been really enjoying SAGA, and turns out an old gaming buddy had also quite enjoyed the test game we had last year so I got to planning a bit more Game of Thrones gaming stuff. He digs the Lannisters, so was quote keen on captaining them in some games. We went over the SAGA books and settled in the end not on Normas or Franks, but Anglo Saxons, who's schtick is to field massive units. So now I need a whole bunch of Lannister spearmen and knights. Well, the Spearmen are kitbashed at least. Knights will follow.

It was also pointed out to me that Russians have some very winter themed abilities in SAGA, and Rus Princes looked like they could be fun to play. For this I need some Northern horse including a Warlord. The Rus have a pretty awesome special unit of heavy cav that also has ranged weapons, so that's why I put bows and crossbows on a few of these. Could only scrounge a few separate longbows from the bitbox, or I would probably have equipped all of them the same way.
