Brent's Frostgrave Painting Log
« on: May 22, 2016, 04:29:59 PM »
Hi All - Brand new to the Lead Adventure's forum.  I met Joe at Adepticon and he said this was where all the Frostgrave Cool Kids hang out.  I've just recently starting playing Frostgrave after years of playing other miniature games.  I've been hooked by the bug!  I love the simplicity of the rules and after recent years of playing historical games, been enjoying diving back into a fantasy realm which reminds me of D&D from my youth.  Since the Wizard was always my favorite character class this seems like the perfect game for me!

Here's a few images of my growing Frostgrave Wardband.  I'm starting with a Summoner wizard (Reaper Bones figs) and have been building soldiers as a mixture of Reaper Bones, Gripping Beast Plastic Vikings (I think), Frostgrave Plastics and Frostgrave Metal models.  I've enjoyed painting all these figures!

Here's a few individual shots of some of the soldiers:

Ranger (Reaper Bones)

Thug (or maybe Treasure Hunter).  Got a chance to try some Object Source Light

Thug (Frostgrave Plastics)

Thug (Frostgrave Plastic)

Knight (Viking Plastic - Gripping Beast I think?)

Barbarian (Frostgrave Metal)

Apothecary (Frostgrave Metal)

Thief (Frostgrave Metal)

Welcome! The plastic viking does indeed look like a Gripping Beast one.

Great stuff!  I like the more subdued, realistic paint colours!
