Dwarf pikemen in 25/28mm
« on: 30 May 2016, 07:26:50 PM »
Talking with a friend about selling some Ral Partha arquibusiers/musket dwarf figures when the discussion moved to dwarf pikemen to make dwarf tercios.  RP does not make dwarf pikemen so many in theory you would need compatible dwarf pikemen from... Who?   :`

No jokes about small hands make for small pikes... Please.   lol lol

The Assault Group have the White Knight ones which match up with the OOP Marauder figures.

Asgard used to do one - link

I'm sure someone bought and is still selling the range, but my google-fu is still recovering from the Bank Holiday :(

However, my LAF-fu is working :-)

http://www.thevikingforge.net/25mm-fantasy-dwarves.html $1.25. Good price, but convoluted ordering process

I thought Alternative bought the TT assets, which included the Asgard fantasy range...

They're not on the website, but AA's pretty good at casting up stuff they have moulds for even if they're not listed. Suggest emailing them and asking.

I have 160 of this figure painted up and based in 4 frontage 4 deep blocks of 16.  Still some of my favourite Jez Goodwin sculpts after all these years, I remember my excitement when he came to work for Citadel.  Not very "Renaissance" in style though.

Very nice but they do look more "Halberd" than "pike" visually.

Still, it is something to pass on to my friend.

You can remove the tops and put in pikes. They have a few Pikes on their site

The Reaper dwarves are excellent, but are quite large compared to Partha dwarves, especially the older RP ones.
Some people that bothers, some it doesn't. Just something to be aware of.
